Thank God

1 Peter 1:3-4 AMP

“Blessed [gratefully praised and adored] be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His abundant and boundless mercy has caused us to be born again [that is, to be reborn from above—spiritually transformed, renewed, and set apart for His purpose] to an ever-living hope and confident assurance through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, [born anew] into an inheritance which is imperishable [beyond the reach of change] and undefiled and unfading, reserved in heaven for you…”

This hope is alive because of Jesus Christ. This hope is active, vibrant, and enduring forever. This new birth is a fresh start, a transformation that breaks the cycle of spiritual death. This spiritual transformation has made us children of God, co heirs with Jesus. Because of this spiritual rebirth we are overcomers, bought by the blood of Jesus, cleansed from all unrighteousness, set apart for His glory. We have a new hope, a new direction, a new way of thinking and a new home with the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. 

This inheritance cannot be destroyed or broken. It is pure and undefiled, and it will never be taken away, and it will never fade.

Prayer:

Thank You Father for the power that raised our Lord from the dead. Thank You Jesus for the price that You paid to redeem us from condemnation and death and have given us eternal life through Your resurrection. Thank You for the new life, the spiritual rebirth that we experienced when we received You as our Lord and Savior. In Your name Lord Jesus, we praise and thank you, Amen!
