Times of Refreshing
Psalms 27:5-6 ESV
“For He (God) will hide me in His shelter in the day of trouble; He will conceal me under the cover of his tent; He will lift me high upon a rock. And now my head shall be lifted up above my enemies all around me, and I will offer in His tent sacrifices with shouts of joy; I will sing and make melody to the Lord.”
We all face trouble or calamity from time to time. It’s in those times that we get frustrated, agitated, upset and we wonder why this is happening to us. I don’t always know for sure but the older I get the more I realize, those times are for trusting, staying still, seeking God. We want God to come in riding on a white horse and slaw the adversary and sometimes He does it that way, but more often then not, He shows up in the times when we become still, when we put frustration aside and seek His face. In those times he delivers, in those times He shows up, in those times He sets us at peace.
Prayer:
Lord, in my hour of trials, teach me to be still, to call on You, to wait for You, and trust You. You saw the trouble when it began far, far away and You set a plan even before the trouble started. You have set a plan to deliver even before I face trouble. Teach me to look to You Lord, show me what to do and what not to do. When to sit down, when to arise, when to shout, and when to be silent. Refresh me Lord. In Your name Master, Amen!
