True Love

Matthew 22:37-39 ESV

“And He (Jesus) said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment. And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”

The true love for God changes hearts and lives. The love we have at that point grows and blossoms. We love Him because He first loved us and His love drew us to Him. Then we began to love Him more and more until the point where we empty all of the bondage that we had and we see Him for who He is, our Lord, our King, our Messiah. We then begin to love Him with all of our hearts, the core of our beings, all of our minds, our intellect, all of soul the driving force within us that makes decisions. When His perfect love is established in us, we then begin to love people without judgment, without compromise, without the slightest bit of reservation.

Prayer:

Lord, teach me to love as You love. Teach me to see beyond a person’s action and love them because You told me to love them without reservation. Teach me to reflect Your glory, a be a reflection of Your love. In Your name Lord Jesus I ask, Amen!
