Your Kingdom Come
Matthew 6:9b-10 ESV
“Our Father in heaven, hallowed (holy, sacred, and worthy of reverence) be Your name. Your kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.”
This prayer starts off with praise and then asks for God’s Kingdom to become a reality on earth just like it is in heaven. I know we see trials, troubles, hardships and wars, but we are God’s children, members of His kingdom. The world can’t see His kingdom but we as Christians should be able to sense and know that we are not products of this world, we belong to God and His kingdom. At any time that we want to, we can ask for inner peace and contentment. Any time we need to see the King, we are immediately in His presence. In light of this we can ask that God’s kingdom would be here on this earth. We can ask the King for His will to be done in our children, grandchildren, nephews, nieces, brothers and sisters. We can ask for God’s kingdom to be alive and well within us, just like it is in heaven.
Prayer:
Father, hallowed (to be praised and lifted high) be Your name, we worship and praise Your name. We seek Your face Father and we ask that Your kingdom can be reality to us and in us today, we need You desperately. Your kingdom come in us and our families today, Your will be in us today just as it is in the heavenly realm. In the Mighty name of Jesus, Amen!
