God is Our Rock

2 Samuel 22:32-34 ESV

“For who is God, but the Lord? And who is a rock, except our God? This God is my strong refuge and has made my way blameless. He made my feet like the feet of a deer and set me secure on the heights.”

God alone is the unshakeable, dependable foundation for life. David portrays God as his ultimate protection and stronghold, a refuge from all dangers. God also guides the upright in righteous paths, leading them to success and purpose as portrayed in this verse, “He, (God), makes my feet like the hinds’ feet, and sets me upon my high places” God gave David the stability and skill to overcome obstacles and stand triumphantly on heights others can’t reach. Who is God? He alone is the unshakeable, dependable foundation for our lives. Live through Him and let Him live through us. When we think that we can do things and figure things out on our own, those plans are not eternal, not based on God’s wisdom, strength or power. When we go to Him first, He gives us the wisdom to achieve and thrive with His blessings.

Prayer:

Lord, You are my rock, You are my strong refuge and only You can make my paths straight. Only You can help me navigate this life without failure, I depend on You for every moment and every step of my pathway. In Your name Lord Jesus I pray, Amen!
