Happy New Year

Ephesians 3:20 AMP

“Now to Him who is able to [carry out His purpose and] do superabundantly more than all that we dare ask or think [infinitely beyond our greatest prayers, hopes, or dreams], according to His power that is at work within us…”

In this new year, what are our hopes and dreams for this year? What do we want to accomplish? What new relationships will we encounter? Do we have personal goals, or family goals? How can we walk closer with God? We know that we can make plans, we know that we can have high aspirations for ourselves and our families, but ultimately, we know things go better with God from the beginning. So today we will ask God what He has for us, how high does He want us to soar in this new year, what does He want us to accomplish and even a better question, what does He want to accomplish in us and through us. He will not roll out a list of things, but He will walk through this new year with us side by side. The sky is the limit for us this year as far as God is concerned, we are the only ones that can limit His plans for us. There are endless possibilities with God and before we ask Him today, know this; “…to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us” (NKJV).

Prayer:

Lord, we are not sure what this year holds for us and our family. We want to get our finances in order, get healthier, become stronger, become stronger in our faith walk with You. We want to accomplish some personal and family goals, but we need You to be the center of that so that we can succeed. David said in Psalms 37:23; “The steps of a man are established by the Lord, when He (God) delights in his (our) way.” Lord, help us to honor You this year, by bringing You pleasure, glory and honor in our actions and decisions this year. Walk with us, talk with us, lead us by still waters, restore our souls, lead us in paths of righteousness for Your names sake. Lay a plan for us and help us to lean on You completely this year. In Your name Lord Jesus we ask, Amen!
