Who We Are Designed to Be

Psalms 119:32 ESV

“I will run the course of Your commandments, For You shall enlarge my heart.”

This verse is speaking of fulfilling God’s commands because God has enlarged our spiritual heart, which is the core of who we are, and what makes us unique. God enlarging our spiritual heart means that He is moving us away from being self-focused, and building inside of us a loving, caring attitude towards others. In the process of enlarging the core of our being He is preparing us to see others from God eyes. Being renewed from the inside out is strengthening us for the difficulties that life offers. Hardships and unfair situations now build character inside of us and we become refined for His purpose, to do the works that He has called us to do. We could say that we are ready, willing and now able to fulfill the will of God because He renewed us completely to be who we were designed to be.

Prayer:

Lord, enlarge our spiritual hearts today that we become more like You. Revive us so that we can fulfill all that You have designed us to do for Your glory. In Your name, Lord Jesus, we ask, amen.
