God Rescues

Psalms 18:18b-19 ESV

“…the Lord was my support. He brought me out into a broad place; He rescued me, because He delighted in me.”

What does it feel like to be the glimmer in God’s eyes? There was nothing that we did to deserve God’s favor; He loved us from the beginning of time, and He will always love us. If we are asking what brings us into God’s presence, that was the power, love, and sacrifice of Jesus. When we accepted Jesus as our Savior, and confessed our sins, and asked Him into our hearts. We were immediately given access to God’s throne room. We are the glimmer in God’s eyes, and He delights in every one of us.

Prayer:

Lord, every time that I hear of Your love, it produces in me the desire to be closer to You.

Make that desire become alive in all of us: when we feel Your love and sense Your presence, draw us closer to You. In Your name, Lord Jesus, thank You for the love we did not deserve, but You gave it anyway! Amen!
