My Hiding Place
Psalms 32:7 ESV
“You are a hiding place for me; You preserve me from trouble; You surround me with shouts of deliverance. Selah”
God is our refuge and He protects us from life’s threats if we trust our lives to Him. God is also our stronghold, He keeps us safe and secure as we seek His rest. It does not mean that harm will not come, it will, Jesus told us that, but when we hide in Him, He keeps us through the storms of this life. When God preserves us, it doesn’t mean the absence of trials and troubles, but this preserving is sustaining us, keeping us together in thoughts and shielding us from fears. Fear is the enemy’s greatest tool; God shields us from fears.
“You surround me with songs of deliverance” (or victory): This jubilant rescue for me is like a battle cry when the victory is imminent. I know, I hear, I can sense that God is routing the enemy, I can hear His shout of deliverance over me and I feel relief, secure, and at peace.
Prayer:
Lord hide us from the fears of the enemy’s attack. Lord, most of the time when an attack comes, fear comes with it. Shield us, preserve us from this crippling fear and let us hear Your shouts of deliverance as You route our enemy and vanquish our foes. In Your name Lord Jesus, Amen!
