Abundant Life

John 10:10 ESV

“The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.” 

We all know what comes from the enemy, loss, deception and lies. He robs us of our peace, he messes with our lives, and he brings us sorrow without end. 

Jesus has come to give us real life. He is the way, the truth and the life that our spirit desires. Jesus is true fulfillment, joy and peace.

Abundant life is something more meaningful than material wealth. Abundant life begins with salvation. Abundant life is gaining a heavenly perspective of what God wants of us. Abundant life is not about wealth, but it is prosperity of the heart, mind and Spirit. It’s about lasting peace. It’s about abundant joy. It’s about knowing who we are in Christ, and fulfilling His mandate. Abundant life leads us to a growing trust and knowledge of God and ultimately takes us home to be with Him forever.

Prayer:

Lord, we look to You because we have no other to look to that can gives us true joy and contentment. This morning, those that are experiencing pain and sorrow, bring them peace, bring them contentment to know You have a perfect will for their lives and it is not about living under a cloud of darkness and sorrow. What You want to give us is this abundant life. I pray today that they receive that abundant life from You. In Your name Lord Jesus, Amen!
