Great Is His Faithfulness

Lamentations 3:19a, 21-23 ESV

“(I) Remember my affliction and my wanderings…But this I call to mind, and therefore I have hope: The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; His mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.”

The pain that some are experiencing right now is real. I acknowledge those who are hurting. 

We have lost some close friends this year already, three to be exact, and a sister-in-law, but still, I see the light wanting to break through in our lives. 

Despite all that is happening around us, I have good news; “The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; His mercies never come to an end.” In fact, yesterday’s mercies may have seemed to pass by, but His mercies are new every morning. For some reason, if today’s mercies seem to be waning, tomorrow morning, they will show up just like the sun does and just like the Son of God will show up as well.

I find it refreshing that God is faithful. There is no shadow of turning with Him (James 1:17). 

Bask in His mercies this morning. 

Prayer:

Lord, Your love never ceases. I sense You in the morning, rising with healing in Your wings. I sense You all through the day, ever lifting, strengthening, encouraging. In the evening as we rest, I sense Your protection and peace. Bring healing to the hurting, let them see this morning a fresh and a new, Your mercies and Your faithfulness. In Your precious name, Amen!
