Seeking the Father in Truth
John 4:21,23 ESV
“Jesus said to her, “Woman, believe me, the hour is coming when neither on this mountain nor in Jerusalem will you worship the Father. But the hour is coming, and is now here, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father is seeking such people to worship him.”
This is interesting, Jesus said to this woman of Samaria that the place where she worships God is not the important aspect. What is important is that she worship God in her Spirit, manifest by the Spirit of God within her.
How do we worship God? Is it a conscious choice? Are we worshipping God with our minds or hearts, or both?
How does worship really come to us? It is manifested by the Spirit of God in us. When we worship, we cannot say we derived the worship on our own, it’s God’s Spirit inside of us that creates the worship that we give. If you are a good worshiper, thank God for that, He created that in you.
Know this, the more we allow the Spirit in us to worship God, the sweeter the worship, the more the revelation of God to us, the more He is honored, because we worshiped in Spirit and in truth.
Prayer:
I worship You Mighty God! I pray that I will not wait for my conscious mind to engage and lead me to worship. I pray that my Spirit just draws me to worship You, morning, noon and night and all times through the day! I pray I always worship You in songs, in words, in deeds, and utterances of the Spirit inside of me. In Your name Lord Jesus, Amen!
