Perfect Peace
Isaiah 26:3 ESV
“You (Father God) keep him (or her) in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on You, because he (or she) trusts in You.”
What is perfect peace? Well, for me, having peace during the hard times of this life would be ideal. It may be having complete trust that no matter what is happening or will happen in the future, I know God has a perfect will and perfect solutions for everything. It’s not necessarily the absence of conflict, but more the presence of blissful peace even if I have to go through conflict or trouble. For you, it may be something else.
To get to this perfect peace, our minds have to be steadfast on God. A steadfast mind is unwavering and firmly fixed on God and His promises. The minute we get our eyes off of God and onto the storms of this life, we will begin to start figuring things out on our own, making up our own solutions that are never perfect.
Trust in God is the key to perfect peace. We need to know that whatever we are facing or going to have to face, God has a way out, or a way through it. Trusting God either way will lead to perfect peace.
Prayer:
Lord, I can’t speak for others, but I can for myself, I need to trust You more. What my brain does at times when it gets overwhelmed is on me, I need to trust You and to keep my mind on You more. I do know that You have a perfect will in every situation in my life, I just need to strengthen my mind to trust You in every situation. I seek that perfect will; I seek that perfect peace. In Your name Lord Jesus I pray, amen!
