In Aweof God
Psalms 33:8 AMP
“Let all the earth fear and worship the Lord; Let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of Him.”
This morning as I was praying, I was thinking about how good God has been to me and my family. I was thinking of the thousands of times, maybe millions of times, that He has forgiven me, given me second chances. All-the-while blessing us with favor, anointing us to represent Him to others. I was thinking of the thousands of times he has healed, restored, revitalized me and my family.
I was thinking of why an Almighty God, Master of the Universe, Creator of all things would look at mankind with such love and compassion that He would give us everything to come back in to a right relationship with Him. Why a God who has scores of angels around His throne worshipping Him continuously would seek my worship and my praise, but He does.
I was thinking of all the people that He is drawing on a daily basis, making a way for them to accept Jesus in their lives and why He cared so much. I was thinking of all the people that He preserved already today from harm and danger, sickness and disease and they never thought anything about it, they didn’t even recognize that it was the hand of God on their lives.
I was thinking that all He wanted this morning was to hear from us, to talk to us, to commune with us, if we could just find the time. I was thinking, He is still waiting, still watching like the Father of the prodigal son looked and watched for his son to come around the bend and how it elated his heart was when he finally saw him.
I’m truly in AWE of our God!
Prayer:
Father, today before we arose from our beds, You were looking, watching, waiting for us to acknowledge You. This morning as the sun rose in the east you were set on the edge of Your throne looking for us. I worship You Mighty God! I cannot thank You enough for being my Father, my strength, my guide, my strong tower, my help, the one who desires to spend time with me, a mere human being. This morning Father, I stand in awe of You!
