Pslams 111:1-4 ESV
“Praise the Lord! I will give thanks to the Lord with my whole heart, in the company of the upright, in the congregation. Great are the works of the Lord, studied by all who delight in them. Full of splendor and majesty is his work, and His righteousness endures forever. He has caused his wondrous works to be remembered; the Lord is gracious and merciful.”
Praise and worship is important. We should worship the Lord in the congregation, and we should worship the Lord in private, we should worship the Lord when we are on the mountain top experiences in life, and we should worship the Lord when we are in the dark valleys. Having that kind of devotion is pleasing to the Lord and it gives us courage when the enemy is near.
David said that “great are the works of the Lord studied by all who delight in them.” When we remember God’s faithfulness and goodness we are in fact studying His works. When we are searching the scriptures and doing devotions, we are studying the greatness of our God.
David ended this verse by saying “He has caused his wondrous works to be remembered; the Lord is gracious and merciful.” God helps us to remember His salvation and His great works that He has done in our lives. Let Him bring remembrance of His grace and mercy to us daily.
Prayer:
Lord, I can never praise You enough for all that You are to me and my family and my friends. I can never thank you enough for Your mighty works, Your love and kindness, Your peace and security. Bring to my remembrance all the blessings that You have given to me, my family and my friends. I exalt You oh God, I worship You this morning!!
