Let the Redeemed of the Lord Say So
Psalms 107:1-3
“Oh give thanks to the Lord, for He is good, for His steadfast love endures forever! Let the redeemed of the Lord say so, whom He has redeemed from trouble and gathered in from the lands, from the east and from the west, from the north and from the south.”
When I was growing up in the Pentecostal church, we had testimony night at times. People would stand up and give a praise report or just say how good God has been to them. Over the years the testimony time became times for complaint sessions by some so the practice of testimony time died out over time.
I remember some of the older saints who would stand and tell how God had blessed them. How God had treated them so much better than they deserved. It was a testimony to who God is and God was blessed by those testimonies of praise and adoration.
If God has blessed you, tell someone. If no one will listen to you, tell me, text me, email me, I love to hear how God has moved in people’s lives. The important thing is to testify of God’s goodness because that brings Him honor and brings us more blessings and peace.
David wrote this Psalm to praise and honor God for His deliverance and His redemption. David was faithful to say what God had done for him.
Let the redeemed of the Lord say so!
Prayer:
Lord, You have saved me, redeemed me from the pit. You have come into my life and made sense out of chaos, blessings from sorrows, overcoming power from fears. You sought me and You bought me with Your redeeming love. Thank You Lord, Amen!
