His Words Kept in Our Heart and Minds

Psalms 119:9,11 NIV

“How can a young person stay on the path of purity? By living according to your word. I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you.”

David wrote 176 verses in Psalms 119, all on the subject of God’s Words and the benefit of keeping His words in his heart and mind.

The value of knowing God’s Words is limitless. His words give us peace, joy, love, and fulfillment. 

His word teaches lessons for life, how to be a good person, and how to get along with others.

His word teaches us the way to God’s heart, and how to please God.

His word tells of His limitless love, His benefits and His promises to us.

His Words gives us vitality and courage and it teaches us how to be brave and strong in Him. It teaches us how to withstand our enemy and the people that come against us in life.

It teaches us about being great citizens of His kingdom, how to have integrity and honesty.

It teaches us how to conduct business, how to be fair and how to be prosperous.

Putting His words in our heart daily builds us up, and pulls us up when we are down. Putting His word in our heart keeps us from willful sins and slip ups.

Prayer:

Lord, every day that we take in Your Words is a day of possibilities. Every day that we put Your Words in our heart is a closer walk with You. That’s what we are looking for Lord, You and the benefits of knowing You and what You require of us. In Your name Lord Jesus, Amen!
