“Lean on God”
1 Samuel 30: 6 NKJV
“Now David was greatly distressed, for the people spoke of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and his daughters. But David strengthened himself in the Lord his God.”
David found himself in a precarious situation, he was blamed for something he did not cause. We have all been there, we have all been victims in a situation and had people turn on us as if the situation at hand were our fault. Instead of retaliation, David did something that was locked in his spirit, he turned to God, he leaned on God, he strengthened himself in the Lord when the odds were against Him. The rest of the story? God brought back that which was stolen with interest.
