Our Trust, Displays His Love

Psalms 32:10b NIV
“…the Lord’s unfailing love surrounds the one who trusts in him.”

This passage reminds me of the time Elijah was surrounded by the enemy at His house. His servant was freaking out, seeing the huge army that surrounded the house, but Elijah was not shaken in the least.

2 Kings 6:15-17 NIV says, “When the servant of the man of God got up and went out early the next morning, an army with horses and chariots had surrounded the city. “Oh no, my lord! What shall we do?” the servant asked. “Don’t be afraid,” the prophet answered. “Those who are with us are more than those who are with them.”

And Elisha prayed, “Open his eyes, Lord, so that he may see.” Then the Lord opened the servant’s eyes, and he looked and saw the hills full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.”

I know sometimes we look at all the trouble around us and we want to see the horses and chariots of fire of the Armies of the Lord all around our troubles. They are there, we just cannot see them.

But be encouraged today, The Lord’s unfailing love and His protection surrounds the ones who trust in God. As I have said before, it is one thing to say we trust God, but can God trust us to believe in Him to stand true to Him and wait on Him?

Prayer:
Lord, open up our minds to know your unfailing love. Open up our understanding to know, if You did it for those in the Old Testament, You can and will do it for us as well. Thank You Lord God, Amen!
