In God’s Care
Psalms 63:7 ESV
“You have been my help, and in the shadow of Your wings I will sing for joy.”

David uses an imagery of God’s Care as a mother bird stretches out its wings to cover her babies in a storm. Psalms 91: 4 says, “He will cover you with His pinions (the outer portion of the birds wings) and under His wings you will find refuge; His faithfulness is a shield and buckler.”

The message is that we can find safety, peace, rest and comfort in God’s presence, and His presence is with each one of us, at all times, everywhere.

David says when he feels this peace and protection “I will sing for joy.”
Have you ever been at such peace and comfort you just break out into a song? I do, it seems that I always have a song going on in my head and especially when I sense God’s presence.

Prayer:
Lord, I sense Your presence with us, cover us, brings us peace and comfort. Let a song to You rise in our hearts and on our lips this morning. In Your glorious name, Amen!
