Living by Faith

Habakkuk 2:4b
“…the just shall live by his (or her) faith.”no

Hebrews 11:1, 33 and 34 says, “Faith shows the reality of what we hope for; it is the evidence of things we cannot see. By faith these people (listed in the hall of faith) overthrew kingdoms, ruled with justice, and received what God had promised them. They shut the mouths of lions, quenched the flames of fire, and escaped death by the edge of the sword. Their weakness was turned to strength. They became strong in battle and put whole armies to flight.”

If the just, that is you and me, live by our faith, then by faith, we see with expectancy all of the things that we hope for. That means relationships will be mended, new relationships come to fruition, new jobs, new opportunities, blessings untold, peace, the reality of our prayers, when we look by faith!

There will be times when it seems like things are not going to work out, that is the time to stop and listen to what God is saying. Every time I face a troubling situation and I try to work it out in my own strength, I typically fail. But then I remember to stop and listen, and I hear God speaking, not out loud, but deep down in my spirit. He shows me the way.

Sometimes the answer is not obvious, sometimes the mountain looks too big, but God always, always navigates a way out, a way through. Even if the problem is not removed, God sees me through the problem.

The only way we will see the victories in our lives is to trust God, listen intently, and live by faith that God wants to bring us out better than when the trouble started. God is ALWAYS speaking, we just have to learn to listen.

Prayer:
Lord, this morning as some are reading this, they are thinking, how are things going work out, I don’t see it. Lord, I know I don’t have to see it to know that the answer is coming, I trust You, I trust Your process. I know living by faith is not fearing the what ifs, living by faith is saying, with You Lord, all things are possible. We stand on the promise of Romans 8:28, “And we know that in all things, God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” in Your name Lord, AMEN!
