Remembering What God Has Done
Psalms 34:4 ESV
“I sought the Lord, and he answered me and delivered me from all my fears.”
Do you remember some of the prayers that God has answered? Maybe it is not as important to remember specifics, but it is to acknowledge when God does answer your prayers I have no doubt in my mind that God hears and answers every one of my prayers. Specifically I acknowledge most of the answers because they are answered in the way I clearly understand.
Sometimes I get an answer that is favorable to me and I typically smile and thank Him for the favorable answer. Sometimes I get an answer of “wait the answer is coming, some things need a little bit of tweaking.” I’m cool with that!
Sometimes I get an answer of, “this one is going to require a lot of changes in you or the person you are praying for.” I understand that completely. Sometimes I get an answer of, “No, I have a reason that you will eventually understand.” I scratch my head, but I accept that answer.
Sometimes I get answer of, “you have asked amiss, (James 4:3), think about your request and ask again.” I rethink my request for awhile before I go back.
Prayer:
Father, before I ask anything, I acknowledge that You have answered all my prayers. Thank You that I have had thousands of answers that have shown me Your love, you guidance, Your concern for my well being, and Your correction, I know I need that as well. I love You more than life itself, AMEN!
