My God My Rock
2 Samuel 22:3 ESV
“My God, my Rock, in whom I take refuge, my Shield, and the Horn of my salvation, my Stronghold and my Refuge, my Savior; You save me from violence.”
“My God, my Rock.” The title Rock is frequently used to describe the strength, faithfulness, and unchangeableness of God.
“In Whom I take Refuge.” He us our Rescuer, our Strong Tower.
“My shield” Deuteronomy 33:29a says, “Happy are you, O Israel! Who is like you, a people saved by the Lord, the shield of your help, and the sword of your triumph!”
“The Horn of my salvation” The Power which saves and delivers me. The figure of the horn is a symbol of victorious strength.
“My Stronghold” Stronghold emphasizes the impenetrable nature of God’s protection. When we seek refuge in God as our stronghold, we can trust that He will guard and defend us against any threat or adversity.
“My Refuge”our safe place, our retreat, the place we go when we are afraid.
“My Savior” Through God, all mankind can be saved, if they make the choice. It is only through Jesus Christ that we will be in heaven, He is the only way!

Father God, You are my Rock, my refuge, my Shield, and the Horn of my salvation, my Stronghold and my Refuge, my Savior, I run to You! In Your name Father God, Amen!
