Independence Day

Psalm 33:12,18-19 ESV
“Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord, the people whom He has chosen as His heritage.  Behold, the eye of the Lord is on those who fear Him, on those who hope in His steadfast love,  that He may deliver their soul from death and keep them alive in famine.”

America was sought out and subsequently dedicated to God by our forefathers. We, His children, still dedicate America to God. Our forefathers came to America for freedom from tyranny and to serve God freely the way they desired to worship and serve Him. Our forefathers bled and died for these rights.

The trend of America today is to pull away from God and His values for us, but we His people will stand up and fight for the right to serve God in freedom. We will not be dominated, harassed, belittle or shoved into a corner. We will stand up for God and Christianity and not be silenced. “Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord, the people whom he has chosen as his heritage.”

I am proud to be a Christian, I am proud to be an American! We are truly blessed beyond measure, but this nation is divided. Less than half of those who live in America do not want God as their Lord and Savior, and are not thankful to be an American. They do not want the blessings of the Almighty God, they have fallen into ignorance, I pray they will see the light before it is too late.

We His people want the blessings of God; we want to be His heritage. So, we will continue to live for God in this free land. Our service men and women have fought, and so many have died to keep us as a free nation. We will never forget their bravery and service to God and this county. Today, we celebrate our Independence Day! Keep America free, Keep God as our Lord!

Prayer:
Lord, we are one nation under God with liberty and justice for all because of You. Thank You that we live in this nation, America! Bless those who have served our nation. Strengthen those families that have lost loved ones who fought to keep us free. Thank you for our forefathers who followed You to this land. In Your Name Lord, Amen!
