Jesus Use Me

John 14:12 ESV
“Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever believes in me will also do the works that I do; and greater works than these will he do, because I am going to the Father.”

When we read this or hear this passage, in ourselves we really don’t believe it. We excuse it by saying, “Well He wasn’t referring to me, He was referring to the apostles or disciples or He was referring to a preacher or evangelist.” But that is not true.

Most Bible professors would agree it was only meant for the Apostles and disciples in Jesus’s day. If that were true though, why are we reading the Bible everyday? If that were true then the Bible is nothing more than a good novel. But, if you believe the Bible is living and powerful and meant for all times in this life, then this passage needs to be understood that it includes us, all of us.

I send out a word everyday with the hope and desire that the verses will bring inspiration, direction, bring hope, help, a desire to be faithful to God and a desire to be used by God. Personally, if you give out a word or a testimony everyday that says that God is real and that He can and will use everyone and anyone. Unknowingly, you have touched lives.

If you have prayed for healing for someone, prayed for deliverance, God has done that, sometimes without us knowing. We ask for things in our prayers in Jesus’s name and He works miracles. You and I have done the works of Jesus and even greater works through Him, because He is faithful in using us.

Prayer:
Lord, use everyone today to bring peace, a hope, courage, strength, healing and assurance to lives that everything will be alright. We don’t have to go check up on our prayers and see if You answered them. We pray in faith and believe that You are doing the rest. Use us to do the works of Jesus today!
