Creation Praises God

Psalms 148:1-5 ESV
“Praise the Lord! Praise him, all his angels; praise him, all his hosts! Praise him, sun and moon, praise him, all you shining stars! Praise him, you highest heavens, and you waters above the heavens! Let them praise the name of the Lord! For he commanded and they were created.”

It’s not uncanny that all of God’s created Angels and living things such as the stars moons and planets do praise Him. It’s not really strange that the flowers, trees, and plants praise Him every hour of everyday until they die. But what God really wants is for you and I to praise Him.

I believe He sits on the edge of His thrown watching, waiting just to hear a word of praise or thanksgiving. I believe His ears are tuned to hear a song on our lips or even just in our hearts.

We always tell God what we want, but I believe all God wants is for us to acknowledge Him to say kind things about Him, to think about Him, to sing a song that praises Him. All of creation Praises Him endlessly, why should we be any different?

Prayer:
Father, I want to praise You with every breath that I take. I want to praise like the stars and moons. I want to praise You first thing in the morning and the last thing at night and all through the day. My thoughts are continually on You. I want my communication with You to last all day long and every time I wake up in the night hours!
