Proverbs 15:14 AMP
“The mind of the intelligent and discerning seeks knowledge and eagerly inquires after it, But the mouth of the [stubborn] fool feeds on foolishness.”

This is not hard to understand, there is a motto; “garbage in, garbage out.” Everyday we need to seek wisdom, knowledge and understanding. As a matter-of-fact, I pray everyday for us to receive wisdom, knowledge and understanding of God, of His ways and His word.

It is great to read the Word of God everyday, it is quite another to actually understand and comprehend what we have read. I also pray for wisdom, knowledge and understanding in this crazy world. I want to know how to be who God wants me to be
and I want to know how to deal effectively with people. I want to know how to treat people and know how to show them I care, and how to be fair.

Seeking wisdom, knowledge and understanding should be our quest even more than pressing for riches or fame. The last part of this verse says, “But the mouth of the [stubborn] fool feeds on foolishness.” I believe it is self evident those who seek after selfish gain, who are bound by foolishness, who speak words of emptiness and show their foolishness by their actions, deeds and words.

Prayer:
Father, help me to be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to anger. (James 1:19) Help me to seek the higher way, the way of wisdom, knowledge and understanding, and put away foolishness.
