“See that no one repays anyone evil for evil, but always seek to do good…”

We live in a society that is riddled with the pay back strong and hard mentality. In their mind set, if you did it to me, I’m going to give it back to you with ten times the hatred and bitterness.

I agree that it is hard sometimes to keep ourselves from not being drawn into that mentality. If we do not set the pace as Christians to be different from the world’s standards no one will be able to see the difference between the Christians standards and the world’s standards.

The next step is even harder; “always seek to do good.” This phrase used to be easier to do when the world wasn’t so crazy, but despite what the world dose, we have a different mandate. Doing good should be our first nature, and I know it is easier said than done but it is who we are supposed to be.

Father, help me to get my attitude and mind set in line with You and Your purpose for my life.
