“The light of the eyes rejoices the heart, and good news refreshes the bones.”

When you look at your perfectly serene place or special person or nature scene, it brings joy to your heart. Solomon capitalizes on that moment for this verse. It feels good just thinking about what brings us joy but when your eyes actually see it in person It brings peace, joy, comfort.

Solomon says just as that warms your heart so good news refreshes your bones or what some would say, “makes you feel good right down to the marrow of your bones.” Some translations say, “good news brings fatness to the bones.”

Prayer:
Father, I live in an intense society which brings concerns and stress, Give me times where I find the joy of seeing a beautiful sunset. Bring me good news that comforts my soul.
