Proverbs 4: 23-24 NLT

“Guard your heart above all else, for it determines the course of your life. Avoid all perverse talk; stay away from corrupt speech.”

Our heart determines the course of our lives. Solomon gives sound advice in this proverb. He was considered the wisest man in all the earth, Yet he himself fell into a predicament in his later years.

Jesus said in Luke 6: 45 NLT, “A good person produces good things from the treasury of a good heart, and an evil person produces evil things from the treasury of an evil heart. What you say flows from what is in your heart.”

Above everything guard your heart, always, whether young or old because what’s in your heart determines what you say and how you say it. It also determines the course of your life.

Prayer:
Father, let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart please You!
