Numbers 13:30 ESV
“Then Caleb quieted the people before Moses and said, “We should by all means go up and take possession of it (the Promised Land), for we will surely overcome it.”
Out of 12 spies looking into the promised land, only two said that Israel should go into the land because God would give them the victory, Joshua and Caleb were the only two that believed. It was on the word of the other ten spies, that almost two million people died in the wilderness.
Forty years later, the next generation, which still included Joshua and Caleb, entered the Promised Land. We live in a time of much doubt, and confusion in the world. Even in the church, the majority does not believe that we can overcome, especially now in these tough times. If we stand and believe in God that He will help us to overcome, like Joshua and Caleb believed against all odds, we will in fact overcome.
Prayer:
Father, I believe! Though doubt is all around, I stand with You and believe that You will help me over every situation that I come up against.
