Deuteronomy 8:11-14 ESV

“Take care lest you forget the Lord your God by not keeping his commandments and His rules and His statutes, which I command you today,  lest, when you have eaten and are full and have built good houses and live in them,  and when your herds and flocks multiply and your silver and gold is multiplied and all that you have is multiplied, then your heart be lifted up, and you forget the Lord your God…”

It’s very easy to forget God when everything seems to be going our way, but it is because of God we have escaped the evil of this world and can enjoy times of peace and plenty. Always be careful to acknowledge Him and include Him in every decision. Honor God, give Him praise in plenty or in loss, He is the one that has been working behind the scenes.

Father, I pray I never forget you. I pray I never stop praising You for Your love, for Your grace and mercy and for providing a way even when I get too busy to worship and praise You!
