Friends

Ecclesiastes 4:9-10a ESV
“Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their toil.  For if they fall, one will lift up his fellow.”

What is the value of true godly friendship? True friends have your best interest at heart and they think of you before they think of their own needs. True godly friendship means your friend or friends will always tell you the truth, not just what you want to hear but what you need to hear.

True godly friends will edify you of the things of God, lifting up your heart and spirit. True godly friends will love you unconditionally, no matter what you do or do not do, what you say or what you do not say.

True godly friends will forgive unconditionally. Forgiveness in friendship is overlooking offenses and hurt feelings. True godly friends are faithful throughout time, whether you see them every day or once a year.

Prayer:
Lord Jesus, we need You first of all, but on earth we need friends too. Never let us lose sight of the fact we need godly friends to come along side us. In Your name Lord Jesus we ask, Amen!
