Haggai 1:6 ESV

“You have sown much, and harvested little.  You eat, but you never have enough… And he who earns wages does so to put them into a bag with holes.”

This prophecy was to the returned exiles of Israel who had been released from their enemy. They came back to their homeland to rebuild the Temple and worship the Lord God. But unfortunately, they put off building the temple and the worship and worked on their own homes. They forgot about God and their lives were miserable. When we do not put God first in every area of our lives we will never be satisfied, we will never see His awesome blessings.
