Waiting for Blessings

Isaiah 40:31 ESV
“But they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.”

Waiting is not our strong suit, but if we have ever waited for something that we knew was going to be great, it was worth the wait.

Isaiah says in this passage, if we wait for the Lord, our strength will be renewed. That is our heart will be glad, our minds will be strong, we will feel invincible, courageous and more than able to do what we have to do.

Waiting on the Lord this morning should look like; doing our devotions to God, taking time to read God’s word, taking time to sing God a song, taking time to communicate with God.

This passage is God telling us this morning about how to win. Wait on the Lord (devotion, reading His words, singing Him a song, communicating with Him) because when we do, we will have renewed strength, we will sour like eagles, we will run and not be weary (be wore out), we will walk and not faint (be overwhelmed).

Prayer:
Lord, I seek You early this morning. I lift my voice in praise and adoration to You. Your words, this morning, are a lamp for my feet and a light for my path today, I sing praises to Your Holy name. I declare Your greatness, Your power and Your majesty to all who will hear. In Your name Lord God, I give You this day, Your Kingdom come, Your will be done in and through me and my family, loved ones, and friends. Amen!
