Acts 3:1,2,6,7 ESV

“Now Peter and John were going up to the temple at the hour of prayer,  the ninth hour. And a man lame from birth was being carried,  whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple that is called the Beautiful Gate… Peter said, “In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk!”  And he took him by the right hand and raised him up, and immediately his feet and ankles were made strong.”

I know we don’t see miracles like this much anymore but healing and miracles still happen. We give up way to soon on prayers and faith, we want things to happen instantaneously. Not all miracles happen instantaneously, some of them span over a lifetime. I think what happens in most cases is we give credit to luck or coincidence

We take for granted a beautiful sunrise or sunset. When we have a near miss while driving the car we may give credit to anything but God. Miracles happen everyday, it’s perspective whether we call it luck or skill or just shrug our shoulders and not give it another thought.

I have seen more miracles than I deserve. I’ve seen God work in peoples lives through miracles and I have seen them pass it off like it was nothing. I have seen people receive a miracle and pass it off in pursuit of the next miracle. Miracles can happen through someone we know or it could come from a stranger.

Miracles can happen through a medication or it could come from a doctor, nurse or physical therapist. God can use anyone or anything to create a miracle. Miracles take faith, expectation, the ability to be amazed no matter how big or small the miracle is.

Prayer:
Father, open my eyes to see the amazing miracles that happen all around me everyday!
