1 Thessalonians 5:8 ESV
“…having put on the breastplate of faith and love, and for a helmet the hope of salvation.”

The core of who we are should be founded on love and faith. The people of the world do not rely on faith, they rely on what they see. We as Christians walk by faith, rely on our faith, and we are motivated by faith.

Love is the essence of what we stand for, what we do and what we give out freely. What is the helmet of hope of our salvation? The helmet of salvation, as Paul talks about it in Ephesians 6, is a protection for our mind. The helmet protects us from the thoughts that destroy us. It guards our minds from attacks. The helmet of the hope of salvation is everything that is possible for us in salvation.

Salvation is not a one time event when we gave our heart to Jesus, rather, it is everything that we can be. The helmet is all the possibilities of a great life in Jesus Christ. If yesterday was not what we expected, then today has possibilities of being amazing.

The helmet of the hope of salvation is new every morning, it’s expectations of all that is promising. Today when we put on that helmet, yesterday is gone, disappointments are gone, Broken dreams are gone. Today is endless possibilities. It’s not imaginations, it’s everything that God has to offer.

Father, today in my walk in salvation I want everything that You want for me!
