Receiving Sound Counsel

 Proverbs 19:20 NLT
“Get all the advice and instruction you can, so you will be wise the rest of your life.”

One of the first marks of wisdom is the readiness to receive sound wisdom from someone who is a seasoned Christian. That would be someone who has lived it and proved it. To be a teachable person, shows humility and wisdom. For those who will listen to counsel and receive instruction, that person is on the road to success.

Carefully consider correction and discipline, sound advice and instruction, it will make the future a bit easier. Never feel like you know it all. Receiving proven knowledge from someone who is prudent and wise shows maturity on our part.

 Prayer:
Lord Jesus, help me to be humble enough, wise enough, to be open and receptive to sound advice, counsel, instructions, and even correction from You first.  Then help me to listen to sound, prophetic, wise advice from those You send my way. In Your name Lord Jesus, Amen!
