Dueteronomy 31:8 ESV

“It is the Lord who goes before you. He will be with you;  He will not leave you or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed.”

I don’t send this scripture this morning just for affirmation of a good scripture, even though it is very good! I send this scripture to the ones, like me, that need to be reminded that someone greater than us is out there fighting our battles before we even begin the battle of today!

Just to know that God goes before us means that He has already been where we need to go today. He has scoped out the spiritual and emotional mountains and the valleys, He has already PRE-DETERMINED where He needs to be, to be our strength today. He has already set up reminders for us today that hopefully we will recognize and will change our course.

He sees the person that will get on our nerves, He sees the car that will cut us off. He sees the situation that could cause us to lose heart or faint when we should have faith. He has already set in order a song that will appear in our mind, or at least He does that for me, that will lift my spirit. He is already setting the person in our path that will encourage us, and offer a word of hope. So, for today, “It is the Lord who goes before you. He will be with you;  He will not leave you or forsake you.” That’s a statement we can cling to today!

Prayer:
Father, honestly some days are a struggle, but when I see verses like this one and I know that You have already have been working on the things that will keep me from stumbling and placing things in my path that will raise me up, I choose faith in You, then I won’t be distressed.
