I Love You Lord
Psalms 18:1-2 ESV
“I love you, O Lord, my strength. The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer, my God, my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.”
David said this prayer when God had delivered him from his enemies and especially from Saul.
Hannah prayed the prayer that follows to God, when she knew in her heart God had seen her plight and had come to her rescue.
“My heart exults in the Lord; my horn is exalted in the Lord. My mouth derides my enemies, because I rejoice in your salvation. There is none holy like the Lord: for there is none besides you; there is no rock like our God.”
Hannah was not being chased, like David was, but she had another tempter, her husband’s other wife made fun of her because she was barren. She faced scorn from women that saw she was without child and she was publicly humiliated at being barren.
Sometimes we fall into similar troubles at home, at work or maybe even at church in some occasions where people talk about us, look down on us, judge us. Today, declare who your God is, say it out loud, let the enemy hear you praise God openly and joyfully.
Prayer:
Father, You are everything to us; Master, Healer, Redeemer, Savior, our Rock and Strong Tower, our very present help in time of trouble. In Your name Father God, Amen!
