If My People

2 Chronicles 7:14 NIV

“If my people, who are called by My name, will humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.”

This was a promise to Israel as a nation in the Old Testament. So, how does this apply to us, here in America? We want this to be one nation Under God, Indivisible, again, but it is not. So, what do we do? We put God first, we go about our lives and represent Jesus. We treat this nation as if it were one nation under God again.

According to a new report, 62% of Americans call themselves Christians, that is about 216 million out of approximately 349 million people in the US. That is a long way from where it was when most of us were born. Of the other 38% of the people that either do not believe in our God, or they serve another god, we can’t allow them to influence us as a nation. We must bind together and purify ourselves by adhering to God’s direction for America. We must preach the Gospel and stand on the promises of God’s words. We must get closer to God and closer to the Christian community so we can take back America as one nation under God. We can make a difference. 

Prayer:

Lord, this is our nation that was founded on the principles that were found in Your words. Lord, we rise and stand on the promises of Your words. We proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ, we want to exemplify You, Lord. In Your Holy name, Lord Jesus, Amen!
