Isaiah 40:29 ESV
“He gives power to the faint, and to him who has no might he increases strength.”

Judgement was over Israel. They had been disobedient, and had turned to foreign gods. They rejected God and God was about to bring them to judgment by the hands of the Babylonians. Even though they were under God’s judgment, still God sends these words of encouragement through Isaiah. For you and me, we are not under judgment, we are under God’s amazing grace.

God’s message to us is; He gives us the power we need when we feel like we can’t go on. and to us who feel like we are not courageous or overcomers, He will increases our strength.”

Prayer:
Father, your mercy toward Your disobedient children was astounding! Your promises to us, Your forgiven children, are wanted, needed, and graciously accepted.
