Only Jesus Can Satisfy

Psalms 107:9 ESV
“For He satisfies the longing (parched or thirsty) soul, and the hungry soul He fills with good things.”

In this verse, the thirsty will be satisfied, and the hungry will be filled. That is true but expand the realm to see the possibilities of God at work in our lives. Today if we are needing some things to happen in our lives, maybe a change, we need to look to the promises of God. When we look to God as our source, He provides what we need.

If we desire an uplifting, God is our Uplifter. If we need healing, God is our Healer. If we need a refresh from the torrents of life, He is our Protector. If we need to find our way back to Him, He is our Shepherd. If our spirits are parched and dry, He is the one who can provide the refreshing by His Spirit.

Jesus said in Matthew 5:6, “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled.” Basically, Jesus said, “Look up, because fulfillment, honor, and glory are on the way for those who want and need more of God in their life, and to want more of God is to want more of His favor in our lives.

Prayer:
Lord Jesus, as You know so well, we face a lot of difficulties in this life. You faced unimaginable physical pain and suffering, as well as mental and emotional anguish. Knowing what we are going through, we desire more of You! Help us today, in Your name Lord Jesus we ask, Amen!
