Romans 8:3-4 NLT
“The law of Moses was unable to save us because of the weakness of our sinful nature. So God did what the law could not do. He sent his own Son in a body like the bodies we sinners have. And in that body God declared an end to sin’s control over us by giving his Son as a sacrifice for our sins.  He did this so that the just requirement of the law would be fully satisfied for us, (At least those) who no longer follow our sinful nature but instead follow the Spirit.”

God is amazing. He gave us the law so we could know what He required of us. He also knew we couldn’t achieve the fulfillment of the law, so He sent us His Son. He came in human flesh like we are, and God gave Him over as a sacrifice for our sins and the sins of the whole world.

His Son’s sacrifice would destroy the hold that the flesh had to keep us from attaining all that God wanted for us. When we accept the Son’s sacrifice, we nullify the hold that the flesh has over us. Through the Spirit of Christ in us, we attain to everything God desired for us in the law. We fulfill God’s just requirement of the law now fully satisfied for us because of Jesus’s sacrifice.

Prayer:
Thank You Lord Jesus, for Your sacrifice that brought us in right relationship with the Father. Making us acceptable and pleasing to the Father and His holy requirements.
