Understanding God

Jeremiah 9:23-24 ESV
“Thus says the Lord: “Let not the wise man boast in his wisdom, let not the mighty man boast in his might, let not the rich man boast in his riches, but let him who boasts boast in this, that he understands and knows Me, that I am the Lord who practices steadfast love, justice, and righteousness in the earth. For in these things I delight, declares the Lord.”

Everyday I ask God that we all have wisdom, knowledge and understanding and that we know who He is and what pleases Him. Also, I ask that we have wisdom, knowledge and understanding of His word.

After all, that is the most important thing in life, after that, everything else pails in comparison. God said in today’s verse the one thing that we can boast about is how we understand God.

Understanding God may seem complex to some, but if we read the Bible and study His characteristics then we begin to understand His likes and dislikes, what makes Him happy or sad, how He uses His grace and mercy, we understand the ways of God, then, we learn the best way to stay close to God is to obey Him!!!

Prayer:
Lord, I want to know You and the power if Your resurrection. I want to walk with You and talk with You in the cool of the evening like You did with Adam. I want to know what pleases You.
