They Had Been With Jesus

Acts 4:13 ESV
“Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were uneducated, common men, they were astonished. And they recognized that they had been with Jesus.”

I love this verse, Luke records the astonishment of the elders, Scribes and Pharisees. They were astonished at the knowledge of these two fisherman. Their lives had been transformed by Jesus the Christ and they had been fully educated by the Holy Siprit of God in the ancient scrolls and their words of exhortation had become eliquint and compelling. They recognized all this came about because they had been in the presence of Jesus.

Do people see that we have been in the presence of Jesus? Do they see our attitudes, our words, works and actions are motivated by Him.

Prayer:
Lord Jesus, use me for Your glory, not mine. Let my words be guided by the Holy Spirit. Let my actions reflect that I have been in Your presence!
