1st Samuel 30: 6 ESV

“And David was greatly distressed, for the people spoke of stoning him, because all the people were bitter in soul, each for his sons and daughters. But David strengthened himself in the Lord his God.”

Have you ever had one of those days when it seems like nothing is going right? David was distressed within himself because his wife and children were kidnapped, but to add to that, everyone in the camp wanted to kill David Because they were distressed of heart. But I find it interesting what David did about his distressing situation, he strengthened himself in the Lord first of all before he ever took action. Think about that!
