Happy Independence Day

Psalms 33:12 ESV
“Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord, the people whom he has chosen as his heritage!”

We live in the greatest nation in the world. Unfortunately almost half of our residence do not think this is accurate. We live in the land where we have freedom to worship God the way we want to worship God, that’s one of the major reasons our ancestors came to this country, to get out from under the hand of the English church and have religious freedom.

We have the freedom to chose what jobs we want and the education we get. The place we want to live, without the fear of oppression or tyranny, without the fear of punishment or reprisal.

This nation has been blessed by God for centuries because for the most part this nation has chosen God as our God, Our source of strength, comfort and inspiration and we are His heritage.

This Independence Day, besides the food and the festivities, take time to thank God for blessing this land.

Prayer:
Father, You are my God and there is no God besides You in my life. As far as I’m concerned and the Christians in this land are concerned, we stand in allegiance to You! Despite what some may say or think in this land, You are the one who has blessed this country.
