Acts 26:16-17 NLT
“…to make you a minister and a witness both of the things which you have seen and of the things which I will yet reveal to you…to whom I now send you, to open their eyes, in order to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those who are sanctified by faith in Me.”
This was God’s mission for Paul. Paul was raised in the order of the Pharisees. He was taught by the finest teachers, priest, and scholars of his day. But all that He was taught, he used to suppress Christianity before his conversion. He arrested and annihilated Christians in the name of God, unaware that he was actually fighting God.
Upon his conversion, he took everything he was taught and used it to promote Christ and Christianity. We may not think we are ministers of the gospel, but that is exactly who we are. We may believe we are insignificant, but we are not. We have been chosen, anointed, and sent to bring light to the darkness of this world. To teach forgiveness of sins and that turning to God will bring fulfillment, peace and real life. God knew Paul would see the light eventually because God had great plans for him. God has the same knowledge of you and me, and He has plans for us to fulfill.
Prayer:
Father, I lost my way when I was young, but you had plans for me and brought me to the place where you can use me. Thank you for Saving me, thank you for using me!
