Favor, Good Judgment, and Common Sense

Proverbs 3:4-5 Living Bible
“If you want favor with both God and man, and a reputation for good judgment and common sense, then trust the Lord completely…”

The Favor of God is what I seek. When I’m in His favor, everything else falls in place. As far as favor with people, I know some people say that they don’t care what other people think, but I do. I want to be a reflection of His glory so everyone can see Him in me.

Now about good judgment and common sense, it seems to be almost non existent in the world today. Why is that? I believe it is because not everyone “Trusts the Lord completely…” People are trusting in themselves instead of trusting the Almighty God and seeking His advice and help.

Can we please be different from the world? Before we make dumb decisions, ask God for His help, His favor and His blessings? Before we go out into the world today, seek God and His favor and good judgment.

Prayer:
Lord, I need you every hour, every minute of every day. Stay close by my side, guide my thoughts, give me sober judgment. Give me common sense! In Your name Lord, Amen!
